WELCOME TO MEDIA BABE RUTH
Media Babe Ruth is a local baseball organization based in Media, PA, with facilities located at Springton Lake Middle School. Our teams compete against Broomall Newtown Babe Ruth offering competitive baseball for players ages 13-18. The Spring Season consists of a 10-15 game season beginning in the middle of March and concluding with playoffs by the middle of June.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Media Babe Ruth’s territorial boundaries include residents of Media Borough, Middletown Township, Upper Providence, Rose Valley, and certain areas of Wallingford. It also includes students of the Rose Tree Media School District and other local schools, regardless of home address.

THREE DIVISIONS
13 year old Division: MBR has created this division in an effort give 13 year old players an opportunity to transition to the 90-foot diamond
14-15 year old Division
17/18U year old Division: our 17/18U team will compete in the Tri State Elite league
SCHEDULE
For our 13 year old and 14-15 divisions, a regular season consisting of approximately 10-15 games begins in late March, followed by post-season playoffs. Our teams compete in inter-league play with teams from Broomall-Newtown Babe Ruth. Games are played on Media Babe Ruth’s home fields at Springton Lake Middle School and Broomall-Newtown Babe Ruth‘s home fields, Thomas Field and Gable Field. The regular season and playoffs typically conclude by the middle of June. Our 17-18 year teams compete in the Tri State Elite league league, with includes teams from throughout Delaware County.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Media Babe Ruth is a volunteer organization. It takes the help of everyone to consistently improve the league and the players’ experience. We are looking for volunteers to assist with:
Team Managers: head coach for the team, communicate with parents and MBR board
Assistant Coaches: assist the team manager, communicate with the parents
Board Members - at large members: we are looking for volunteers to help with specific tasks to help the league run efficiently, i.e. Snack bar coordinator, Equipment manager, Umpire Assignor, Fundraising, etc
FALL BASEBALL
Media Babe Ruth has teamed up with County Wide Baseball to offer our players a Fall Ball Season. More information on the Fall Season will be posted when available.
